There are many reasons why the area is so popular with travelers. The cultures and histories of these nations are quite fascinating, there is so much to see, learn, and do while visiting them. Also, the people are among the most welcoming in the world, and they really do smile a lot, showing a genuine friendliness and curiosity in you and your story. They are very proud to show off what their county has to offer and truly enjoy getting to know visitors to their lands.

Additionally, there is no doubt that Southeast Asian food is delicious, healthy, rich, and varied, coming in an assortment of so many flavors. It’s not as spicy as it’s made out to be, though it can be if that’s what you like, but it is delicious.

Finally, if you love warm weather, or are over the cold dreary weather where you are from, you will bask in the tropical climates of Southeast Asian nations. There is such a diversity of things to do as well, from spending a day exploring a highly intriguing and dynamic city, to relaxing on a white, sandy beach, to hiking through the trails of lush, green jungles.

In this day of ever increasing prices, Southeast Asia remains an incredible bargain. But there’s no need to short yourself on luxuries during your travels here. You can pamper yourself but without breaking the bank.

Some people are a bit hesitant to travel to Southeast Asia and this is somewhat understandable. It’s not exactly like traveling to Western Europe or taking a quick jaunt to the well-traveled venues in Mexico. There is an aura of mystique that surrounds this part of the world.

But there is nothing to be afraid of and the rewards of taking the plunge and enjoying the myriad of wonderful experiences you can have in this exotic locale are very well worth it.

Best Time to Visit Southeast Asia

Most people want to plan their travels around the best time to visit Southeast Asia. for example, during a time when the weather is going to be most pleasant, or when local holidays won’t interfere with their plans. The weather in Southeast Asia can vary quite a lot, in the different regions, both from north to south, as well as at different altitudes. The area is close to the Equator, so the further south you go, the warmer and more humid the climate will be. However, in the higher altitudes, such as in mountainous parts, the temperature is much more pleasant.

This being said, though, in general, you can’t go wrong with a visit to Southeast Asia during the months of November through February. Temperatures tend to be cooler and the air is drier. But don’t fret too much about the weather. It really isn’t that hot, even in the warmer seasons, and you will get used to it the longer you stay!
